SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF ALDERMEN
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
Tuesday, Mazch 13, 2007
6:30 P.M.
A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri, was held at City Hall, in
Riverside, Missouri, on Tuesday, Mazch 13, 2007, at 6:30 p.m.
Mayor Kathy Rose called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. Those answering roll call were Mayor Rose
and Aldermen Ray Beard, Ron Super, David Hurt, and Pam Darata. Alderman Linda Jones joined the meeting at
6:33 p.m. and Alderman Bernie Bruns joined the meeting at 6:37 p.m.
Also present were David Blackburn, City Administrator, Jane Henry, Executive Administration Assistant,
Gregory Mills, Public Safety Chief, Brent Miles, Community Development Director, Donna Resz, Finance Officer
and John McClelland, City Attorney.
Presentation by auditor firm Mia Frommelt from McGladrey & Pullen made a brief presentation, giving her
McGladrey & Pullen contact information to the board.
Bill No. 2007-20 Alderman Darata made a motion to place Bill No.2007-20 on its first reading.
Disbursements to Pay Alderman Hurt seconded.
Certain Indebtedness of The vote was:
$303,702.99
Yes: Aldermen Hurt, Beazd, Super, Jones, and Darata.
Motion carried.
Ordinance No. 2007-20 Alderman Beard moved to place Bill No. 2007-20 on its second reading.
Approved Alderman Super seconded.
The vote was:
Yes: Aldermen Hurt, Beazd, Super, Jones and Darata.
Motion carried.
Bill No. 2007-21 Alderman Hurt moved to place Bill No. 2007-21, an ordinance authorizing
An ordinance authorizing the City of Riverside, Missouri to employ L. Michael Shelton as a Full Time
The City of Riverside, Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator in the Department of Public Safety,
Missouri to employ setting a salary and start date for same, on its first reading. Alderman Darata
L. Michael Shelton as a Full seconded.

Ordinance No. 2007-21 Alderman Beard made a motion to place Bill No. 2007-21 on its second reading

The vote was:
Yes: Aldermen Beazd, Super, Hurt, Dazata and Jones.
Motion carried.
Motion to enter into Closed Alderman Dazata made a motion to enter into closed session and Alderman Hurt
Session pursuant to RSMo seconded.

legal issues, RSMo 610.021
(2) real estate and 610.021 Yes: Aldermen Hurt, Beazd, Super, Jones and Dazata.
(3) personnel issues with the Motion carried.

Motion to enter into Open Alderman Jones made a motion to enter into open session. Alderman Darata
Session at 6:49 p.m. seconded the motion.
The vote was:
Yes: Aldermen Super, Hurt, Beazd, Jones, Bruns, and Dazata.
Motion carried and the board entered into open session at 6:49 p.m.
Motion to Adjourn Alderman Dazata made a motion to adjourn. Alderman Jones seconded.
6:50 p.m.
The vote was: Aldermen Jones, Super, Hurt, Beazd, Bruns, and Dazata.
Motion carried and the meeting was adjourned 6:50 p.m.
