SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF ALDERMEN
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
Tuesday, August 31, 2010
6:00 p.m.
The Board of Aldermen for the City of Riverside, Missouri, met in special session in the Board
of Aldermen Chambers at City Hall, 2950 NW Vivion Road, Riverside, Missouri, on Tuesday,
August 31, 2010.
Mayor Rose called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Those in attendance were Mayor Kathy
Rose, Aldermen Ron Super, David Hurt, Bernie Bruns, Mike Fuller, and Brad Cope.
Alderman Aaron Thatcher was absent.
Also present were City Administrator David Blackburn, City Attorney Nancy Thompson, City
Clerk Robin Littrell, Community Development Director Mike Duffy, Finance Director ponna
Resz, Director of Communications Meredith Hauck.
Bill No. 2070-051 Finance Director ponna Resz explained the three ordinances
NID Cooperative Agreement before the Board and Mayor that deal with the Neighborhood
Improvement District. This is an annual process.
Alderman Bruns moved to accept first reading and place Bill No.
2010-051 on second & final reading, second by Alderman Cope.
Yes: Bruns, Cope Hurt, Fuller, and Super.
Motion carried 5-0.
Alderman Cope moved to approve Bill 2010-051 and enact said
bill as ordinance, second by Alderman Super.
Yes: Cope, Super, Hurt, Bruns, and Fuller.
Motion carried 5-0.
Bill No. 2010-052 Alderman Super moved to accept first reading and place Bill No.
NID Special Assessments 2010-052 on second 8� final reading, second by Alderman Hurt.
Yes: Super, Hurt, Bruns, Cope, and Fuller.
Motion carried 5-0.
Alderman Hurt moved to approve Bill 2010-052 and enact said bill
as ordinance, second by Alderman Cope.
Yes: Hurt, Cope, Super, Bruns, and Fuller.
Motion carried 5-0.

Biil No. 2010-053 Alderman Super moved to accept first reading and place Bill No.
NID Special Assessments 2010-053 on second & final reading, second by Alderman Hurt.
Yes: Super, Hurt, Bruns, Cope, and Fuller.
Motion carried 5-0.
Alderman Cope moved to approve Bill 2010-053 and enact said
bill as ordinance, second by Alderman Hurt.
Yes: Cope, Hurt, Super, Bruns, and Fuller.
Motion carried 5-0.
Bill No. 2010-054 Details of complete process used to find the person to fill this
New Hire — Receptionist position was shared by City Clerk Robin Littrell and following a
brief discussion by the Mayor and Board, Alderman Fuller moved
to accept first reading and place Bill No.2010-054 on second &
final reading, second by Alderman Super.
Yes: Fuller, Super, Hurt, Bruns, and Cope.
Motion carried 5-0.
Alderman Hurt moved to approve Bill 2010-054 and enact said bill
as ordinance, second by Alderman Bruns.
Yes: Hurt, Bruns, Cope, Super, and Fuller.
Motion carried 5-0.
MOTION TO ENTER INTO Alderman Fuller moved that the meeting go into closed
CLOSED @ 6:09 P.M. session pursuant to RSMo 610.021 (1) Legal Action and
litigation and RSMo 610.021 (2) Leasing, Purchase or sale of
real estate, second by Alderman Bruns.
Yes: Fuller, 8runs, Cope, Super, and Hurt.
Motion carried 5-0.
MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Hurt moved that the closed session be adjourned at
CLOSED @ 7:08 P.M. 7:08 p.m. with no action taken, second by Alderman Bruns.
Yes: Hurt, Bruns, Fuller Cope, and Super.
Motion carried 5-0.
MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Bruns moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:09 p.m.,
second by Alderman Cope.
Yes: Bruns, Cope, Super, Fuller, Hurt.
Motion carried 5-0.
