AN ORDINANCE CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION C*? AN APPROPRIATION OF
FUNDS FOR THE L-385 LEVEE PROJECT QUES'S.LON IN THE CITY OF
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Board of Aldermen is considering paying a
portion of the cost of the construction of the L-385 Levee in the
City (The "Project") and the Board of Aldermen have determined to
hold a special advisory referendum on the appropriation of funds of
the City to pay a portion of the cost of the Project.
Section 2. A special election is hereby ordered to be held
in the City of Riverside, Missouri, concurrently with the primary
election on Tuesday, August 6, 1996, on the following question:
QUESTION
Shall the City of Riverside, Missouri be authorized
to appropriate funds in the amount of $5.3 million for
the purpose of paying a portion of the costs of the
construction of the L-385 Levee Project in the City?
Section 3. The form of Notice of Special Election showing
said question, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, is hereby approved.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to notify the Board of Election Commissioners of Platte
County, Missouri, of the passage of this Ordi:i.;nce no later than
5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 11, 1996, and to include in said
notification all of the terms and provisions required by Chapter
115, RSMo.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.

Riverside, Missouri, that the Board of Aldermen of the City has
called a special election to be held in the City concurrently with
the primary election on Tuesday, August 6, 1996, commencing at 6:00
A.M. and closing at 7:00 P.M., on the question contained in the

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
RESOLVED, that the City of Riverside, Missouri (the "City") expects to make capital
expenditures after the date of this Resolution in connection with the construction of the L-385 Levee (the
"Project"), and the City intends to reimburse itself for such expenditures with the proceeds of bonds,
notes, or a lease purchase agreement.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the maximum principal amount of the obligations expected to be
issued for the Project is $10,000,000.
ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen this 4th day of June, 1996.
