AN ORDINANCE ADCFTINC AN OFFICIAL POLICY
REGARDING PUELIC MEETINGS, RECORDS AND VO'PES OF THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDF,, MISSOURI AND ITS SUBCIVISIONS
BE IT ORDAINED that:
Section 1. That the public meetings policy written and
attached hereto as Exhibit A is adopter as the official public
meetings policy of the City of Riverside, Missouri pursuant to
Chapter 610 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri.

PUPLIC MEETINGS POLICY
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen cf the City of Riverside,
Missouri desire to comply with Chapter 610 of the Fevised
Statutes of P^,issouri in every respect, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen deem it necessary anal in the
public interest that any agency, committee or other subdivision
of_ the City of Riverside, Missouri comply with Chapter 610 cf
the Revised Statutes of Missouri.
BE IT RESOLVED that the following Public t^eetinas Policy be
adopted by the City of Riverside, Missouri:
1. A71 meetings of the Board of Aldermen of the City and
all meetings of any agency, beard, committee, commission or
other duly appointed subdivision cf the City shall be and
hereby are declared "public meetings" as defined by Chapter 610
of the Revised Statutes of Missouri.
2. The transaction of all business by the Poard of
Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri or any subdivision
thereof as above described shall be documented by the Secretary
to the Mayor in the case of meetings of the Board of A]dermen
or by some other person authorized and directed to do so in the
case of the meetings of any other subdivision of the City and
all documentation thereof shall be a "public record" as defined
by Chapter 610 of the Revised Statutes of_ Missouri.
3. It is the policy of the City of Riverside, P?issour.i
that all meetings, records, votes, actions and deliberations of
the Board of Aldermen of the City or any subdivisions of the
City as above described be open to the public unless otherwise
provided by law.
4. All votes upon matters coming before the Poard of
Aldermen or any subdivision of the City as above described
shall be recorded and if the Mayor, chairman or any member of a
body taking a vote shall request, said vote shall. be taken by
roll call so as to attribute each vote or abstinence to the
name of an individual member of the body.
5. Notice of the time, date and place of any public
r°.eeting as herein described and its tentative agenda shall be
given pursuant to the provisions of Section 610.020 of the
Revised Statutes of Missouri.
6. The Eoard of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Pissouri or any subdivision thereof shall only be authorized to
close meetings, records and votes to the extent authorized or
required by the law of the State of P^issouri or of the IInited
States of America.
7. The procedure for closing any public meeting and fer
giving notice thereof and transacting any husiness at the same
shall comply in each and every respect with Section 610.022 of
the Revised Statutes of T^issouri.
8. The City Clerk of the City of Piverside, T^issouri is
hereby appointed the custodian of all records of the Poard of
Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri and all
subdivisions thereof as above described and the identity and
location of all such records shall be made available by the
Clerk tc anyone requesting the identity and locaticn of the
same.
9. All said public records shall. be available for
inspection and copying by any member of the public unless
specifically protected by the laws of the State of T"issouri or
of the United States of America, but the originals thereof
shall not be removed from any place of deposit without the
prior written consent of the City Clerk. All such public
records shall be made available within the time and upon the
terms set forth in Chapter 610 of the Revised Statutes of
Missouri and the City Clerk shall be authorized and directed to
collect the following fees for inspection and reproduction.
a. ~-3 p~ ~~~s per page for the photocopy
of any public record.
b. per hour for all staff time
required for macro copies.
1.0. All such fees er charges collected shall be remitted
to the Treasurer for the City of Riverside, Missouri.
