SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF ALDERMEN
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
Tuesday, February 22, 2011
5:33 p.m.
The Board of Aldermen for the City of Riverside, Missouri, met in special session in the Board
of Aldermen Chambers at City Hall, 2950 NW Vivion Road, Riverside, Missouri, on Tuesday,
February 22, 2011.
Mayor Rose called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m. Those in attendance were Mayor Kathy I
Rose, Aldermen Ron Super, Brad Cope, Bernie Bruns, Mike Fuller, Aaron Thatcher and Dave '
Hurt (arrived at 6:16 p.m.).
Also present were City Administrator David Blackburn, City Attorney Nancy Thompson, City
Clerk Robin Littrell, Community Development Director Mike Duffy, Community Development
Assistant Sarah Wagner, Darren Hennen with Olsson Associates, and attorney Joe Bednar.
Resolution 2011-014 Community Development Director Mike Duffy and City Attorney
CDBG intent to Seek Funding Nancy Thompson explained the process of the Community
Development Block Grant. Alderman Thatcher moved to approve
Resolution 2011-014, stating intent to seek funding through the
CDBG Program, second by Alderman Cope.
Yes: Thatcher, Cope, Fuller, Super, and Bruns.
Motion carried 5-0.
Community Development Director Mike Duffy informed the Board
of an item that will be on the agenda at the next regular meeting
concerning utilities with Conocophillips along Mattox Road at an
expense of approximately $99,000. There was some time for
questions and answers.
MOTION TO ENTER INTO Alderman Bruns moved that the meeting go into closed
CLOSED @ 5:50 P.M. session pursuant to RSMo 610.021 (1) Legal Action and
litigation and RSMo 610.021 (2) Leasing, Purchase or sale of
real estate, and RSMo 610.021 (12) Sealed bids and related
documents, until the bids are opened and contract is executed,
or all are rejected, second by Alderman Thatcher.
Yes: Bruns, Thatcher, Fuller, Cope, and Super.
Motion carried 5-0.

MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Super moved that the closed session be adjourned at
CLOSED @ 9:56 P.M. 9:56 p.m. with action taken, second by Alderman Fuller.
Yes: Super, Fuller, Hurt, Bruns, Cope, and Thatcher.
Motion carried 6-0.
MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Hurt moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:57 p.m.,
second by Alderman Bruns.
Yes: Hurt, Bruns, Cope, Super, Fuller, and Thatcher.
Motion carried 6-0.
