Re: 41 Street— Drainage Revisions Supplement
Dear David:
As per the direction of Ciiy staff during our project progress meeting on January 27, 2011, the following is a
supplement to our existing contract that outlines the redesign of the drainage systems along 41 Street that will be
revisions to the previously approved plans. It is our understanding that these revisions are required in order to avert
potential prolonged land acquisition negotiations that could take place if the current drainage ditches along 41 Street
move fonxard.
RoadwaylDrainage Tasks:
1. Relocate current drainage ditch on south side of 41 Street. This will require the redesign and redetailing of
a new 2,400' ditch along the east side of Mattox, continuing along the south side of the proposed Lots #5
and #6 and then along the west side of Horizons Parkway to an existing RCB.
2. Redesign of the current drainage ditch on the north side of 41 Street to alleviate any storm water drainage
pipes from discharging along the south side of 41 Street. This will require the complete redesign of the
existing 1,500' drainage ditch, the addition of drainage pipes under the 2 proposed Joson Controls
driveways, the addition of a new storm sewer pipe under existing Van de Populier and the design of a new
700' ditch between Van de Populier and Horizons Parkway to the existing RCB under Horizons Parkway
that is north of the proposed 41St Street.
Tasks includes revisions to roadway planlprofile sheets (ditch profiles and construction limits), revised hydraulic
calculations, new storm sewer profile sheets, additional planlprofile sheets for the 3,100 linear feet of new ditches,
revisions to the erosion control plans, revisions to curb inlet designs and profile sheets, revisions to temporary
easement delineations and call outs, additional meeting to review proposed changes and QAIQC of all revisions.

E2 — 40 hours @ $1191hr = $4,760
T4-8hours@108/hr = $ 864
Environmental Tasks:

Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) concerning additional clearance reviews due to expansion of
project site (additional ditches) and QAIQC of all revisions
