AM ORDINANCE AMENDING THE AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH
TRANSYSTEMS CORPORATION TO PROVIDE FOR A CHANGE IN THE SCOPE OF
SE:RVICES IN CONNECTION WITH DESIGN, SURVEY AND PLATTING WITHIN THE
HORIZONS DEVELOPMENT AREA IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $15,409
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside, Missouri ("City") entered into an agreement with
TranSystems Corporation ("TranSystems") for provision of survey, design and engineering
services related to the construction of the I-635 and Van de Populier Interchange and Horizons
Parkway pursuant to Ordinance 2003-24 (hereinafter the "AgreemenY'); and
WHEREAS, there is a need to amend the Scope of Services under such agreement as
set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City
of Riverside to provide for such additional Services;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1- AMENDMENT APPROVED. Execution and delivery of an amended
sc�ope of services with TranSystems Corporation in substantially the form attached hereto as
Exhibit A, in the amount of $15,409 is hereby approved, ratified and authorized as Supplement #12
to the Agreement.
SECTION 2- AUTHORITY GRANTED. The Mayor, the City Administrator, the City
Atkorney and other appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as
m�y be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this
Ordinance and to execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments,
agreements and other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters
herein authorized and any actions taken prior to the adoption of this ordinance are hereby
ratified and approved.

SECTION 3- EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
BE IT REMEMBERED that the above was read two times by heading only, passed and
a��proved by a majority of the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of the City of
Riverside, Missouri, this 4 day of April, 2011.

Re: 41 � Street — Construction Services Supplement
Dear David:
As requested by City staff, we are pleased to present the following proposal for the 41 S' Street construction services
(non construction observation). The following oullines our proposed scope of services for these efforls.
1. Attend 2 preconstruction meetings and 2 project site/general meeting during construction:
Task includes attending meetings (either at City Hall or at the project site) and answering questions. No
meeting minutes are included.
E5 —10 hours @ $270/hr = $2,700
2. Staking "Proposed" Right-of•Way along East side oi Mattox:
Task includes the setting of 5 wooden lathes along the proposed east R!W of Mattox Roatl at 500' interoals.
Lathes will be flagged and marked "Proposetl R!W". The proposed RIV11 will match what is indicated on the
Argo Innovation Park" plaf (currently under final review by the City).
S5 —1 hour @ $156mr = $156
S4 —1 hour @ $109/hr = $109
2 Person Survey Crew — 3 hours @$1331hr = $399
3. Review if Roadway shop drawing submittals:
Task includes review of electronic submilied shop drawings and certifications, rescanning of reviewed
documents (if comments are required), review of potential substitutions, transmittal letters and distribution.
Anticipated documents include: curb inlets, storm sewer pipe, asphalt mix design, concrete mix designs
(curb, sidewalk, driveways), erosion control material, fly ash certifications, rock gradation (ditch liner, check
dam, sediment trap) and seeding mix.
E5 — 5 hours @ $2701hr = $1,350
E3 — 2D hours @ $148/hr = $2,960

4. Review if Traffic shop drawing submittals:
Task includes review of electronic su6mitted shop drawings and certifications, rescanning of reviewed
documents (if comments are required), review of potential substitutions, transmittal letters and dislribution.
Anticipated documents include: signs and conduit.
E3 — 8 hours @ $148lhr = $1,184
5. Review if Structural shop drawing submittals:
Task includes review of electronic submitted shop drawings and certifications, rescanning of reviewed
documents (if comments are required), review of potential substitutions, transmittal letters and distribution.
As per discussions with a representative of the apparent low bidder (Scott Wollers - VF Anderson Builders),
anticipated documents include: precast RCB for both project structures.
E4 —12 hours @ $1971hr = $2,364
T3 — 4 hours @ $881hr = $352
6. Answering Requests For Information (RFI's) and contract administration:
Task includes review of project non-enhancement clarification questions from Owner and contractor. Also
includes project administration(coordination.
E5 — 8 hours @ $270mr = $2,160
E3 — 8 hours @ $148/hr = $1,184
7. Reimbursable Costs:
a. Printing and binding of 4 Project Manuals for contract execution: $100.00.
b. Printing and binding of 2 full-size and 5 half-size plan sets: $360
c. Mileage: 100 miles @ $D.511mi1e = $51.00
The maximum compensation for this scope of service is estimated to be 15 409.
Items not included in this proposal include:
1. Preparation of Record Drawings based on redlined information received from the contractor andlor field
observer.
2. The setting of permanent right of way (ROW) markers after construction to monument the ROW as was
provided on Horizons Parkway. Locations of permanent easements could also be monumented at that time.
Once the full naturelscope of these seroices have been identified, we will be happy to supply you with a proposal (if
requested).
