NOT-F'OR-PP,OFTT SALE OF MAL'C LIQUOR A'1' CERTAIN GATHERINGS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMTI'S OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AND RSTABLISI{ING THE PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING A TEMPORARY LICF.NSF: FOR THE NOT-FOR- PNOFTT SALE OF MALT LTQNOR. BE I'I' ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMF,N OF 'fHF. CITY OF RiVF,RSTDE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Chapter, a temporary license for the not-for-profit sale of malt liquor as defined in Section 3.1 for consumption on premises where sold may be issued by the Liquor Commission of the City of Riverside to any church, school, civic, service, fraternal, veteran, political or charitable club or organization for the not-for-profit sale of such malt liquor at a picnic, bazaar, fair, street dance or similar gathering. The temporary license shall be issued only for the day or days named therein and shall not authorize the sale of malt liquor for more than seven (7) days by any organization in any fiscal year. SEC'1'lON ?: Any person or organization obtaining a Temporary license for the not-for-profit sale of malt liquor pursuant to this ordinance must obtain ]iabilit,y insurance to insure the organizat,ion's financial responsiblity for any liability it may incur for acts or omissions arising out of the event, and the sale of the malt liquor. The liability insurance shall provide coverage in the minimum amount of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00). SECTION 3: Any organization obtaining a temporary license for the no T,-for- profit sa]e of malt liquor shall provide private security personnel for the event at which the malt liquor is to be sold. No employee of the Riverside Department. of Public Safety shall. be permitted tc serve as such private security personnel.. SECTION 4: To secure the temporary license, an application must be submitted to the Liquor Commission of Riverside at. least ten (10) days before the proposed sale of the malt liquor, and shall contain the following information: a. 'I he name of the club or organization seeking the permit; b. A brief description of the crganization: c. A description of the gathering or activity for which the temporary license is sought; d. The location of the proposed malt, liquor sale; e. The proposed dates of the activity and the malt liquor sale, including hours of proposed sale; f. The name of the security company or individuals hired to provide security as required by Section 3 of this ordinance. 'P he following documents, or copies thereof, sha]1 be attached to and submitted with the application for the temporary license: a. Proof of financial responsibility or liability insurance as required by Section 2 of this ordinance; b. A copy of the application cubmitted by applicant to the supervisor of liquor control for the State of Missouri; c. A copy of the notice of the even T, submitted by the applicant to the director of Revenue for the State of Missouri. SECTION 5: Persons hired by the applicant to sell malt liquor pursuant to a temporary license shall not be required to obtain an employee permit under this chapter.
