R-2011-081 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND AWARDING THE PUBLIC SAFETY FIRE BAY DOORS PROJECT TO TRACKER DOOR SYSTEMS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $52,274.80. WHEREAS, the City of Riverside, Missouri issued an invitation to bid to contractors for eight (8) fire bay doors for Public Safety Department; and WHEREAS, three written bids were received from vendors for the fire bay door upgrade project; and WHEREAS, the purchasing policy adopted by the City provides for award of a bid to the Inwest responsible bidder with due consideration given to the quality of previous performance of the contractor as well as the quality of service and product for this particular use required; and WHEREAS, following an investigation of services and references, staff has r�commended award of the bid to the Tracker poor Systems as the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it is in the best interest of the City to authorize ai�d approve the bid with Tracker poor Systems in an amount not to exceed $52,274.80 for the fire bay door upgrade project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: THAT the bid of Tracker poor Systems for the fire bay door upgrade project in an amount not to exceed $52,274.80 is hereby accepted and approved; and FURTHER THAT the City Administrator, Mayor and/or Finance Director are hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to carry out the terms and conditions of such contract and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto. The lowest and best formal bid was received from Tracker poor Systems. • Tracker poor Systems at $52,274.80 • F;aynor at $54,520.00 • Overhead Door at $54,590.00 BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2011-2012 fiscal budget included $45,000.00 for the replacernent of eight doors at the Public Safety Fire Bay Facility. The total cost of this project is $52,274.80 �
