SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF ALDERMEN
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
Tuesday, October 11, 2011
6:00 p.m.
The Board of Aldermen for the City of Riverside, Missouri, met in special session in the Board
of Aldermen Chambers at City Hall, 2950 NW Vivion Road, Riverside, Missouri, on Tuesday,
October 11, 2011.
Mayor Rose called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. Those in attendance were Mayor Kathy
Rose, Aldermen Ron Super, Brad Cope, Bernie Bruns, Mike Fuller, Dave Hurt, and Aaron
Thatcher.
Also present were City Administrator David Blackburn, City Attorney Nancy Thompson, City
Clerk Robin Littrell, Community Development Director Mike Duffy, Finance Director ponna
Resz, Community Relations Director Meredith Hauck, Community Relations Intern Jamie
Shockley, Capital Projects Engineer Travis Hoover, and Community Development Assistant
Sarah Wagner.
Mayor Rose led discussion pertaining to the Harvest Ball and the
desire of the Board for sponsoring a table. The Board will let
Mayor Rose know their direction at the next board meeting.
Resolution No. 2011-086 Alderman Thatcher moved to approve Resolution No. 2011-
Real Estate Contract Sumerlin 086 authorizing execution of a real estate contract in connection
with the purchase of property at 5101 Northwood Road, second by
Alderman Cope.
Yes: Thatcher, Cope, Super, Bruns, and Fuller.
No: Hurt.
Motion Carried 5-1.
Community Relations Director Meredith Hauck introduced Jamie
Shockley as the City's Community Relations Intern.
MOTION TO ADJOURN OPEN Alderman Fuller moved to adjourn the open meeting at 6:14 p.m.
AND ENTER IN CLOSED and immediately move into closed session pursuant to
610.021(1) Legal actions, causes of action or litigation
involving a public governmental body and any confidential or
privileged communications between a public governmental body
or its representatives and its attorneys
610.021 (2) Leasing, purchase or sale of real estate by a public
governmental body where public knowledge of the transaction
might adversely affect the legal consideration therefore,
second by Alderman Hurt.
Yes: Fuller, Hurt, Bruns, Super, Cope, and Thatcher. '
Motion carried 6-0. '

MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Hurt moved that the closed session be adjourned at
C�OSED @ 6:26 P.M. 6:26 p.m. with action taken, second by Alderman Thatcher.
Yes: Hurt, Thatcher, Fuller, Cope Super, and Bruns.
Motion carried 6-0.
MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Thatcher moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:38 p.m.,
second by Alderman Fuller.
Yes: Thatcher, Fuller, Bruns, Super, Hurt, and Cope.
Motion carried 6-0.
