HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011-10-24 Special Workshop MINUTES SPECIAL WORKSHOP BOARD OF ALDERMEN RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI Monday, October 24, 2011 6:00 p.m. The Board of Aldermen for the City of Riverside, Missouri, met in special session in the Board of Aldermen Chambers at City Hall, 2950 NW Vivion Road, Riverside, Missouri, on Monday, October 24, 2011. Mayor Rose called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Those in attendance were Mayor Kathy Rose, Aldermen David Hurt, Ron Super, Mike Fuller, Brad Cope, and Bernie Bruns. Alderman Thatcher was absent. Also present were City Administrator David Blackburn, City Attorney Nancy Thompson, City Clerk Robin Littrell, Community Development Director Mike Duffy, Capital Projects Engineer Travis Hoover, Public Works Director Tom Wooddell, Police Chief Greg Mills, Community Relations Intern Jamie Shockley, Community Relations Director Meredith Hauck, and Finance Director ponna Resz. Engineers present were Darren Hennen with Olsson and Associates, Sabin Yanez with Cook, Flatt & Strobel, Matt Eblen and Jerry Johnson with Shafer, Kline & Warren, and Nathaniel Hagedorn and Brent Miles with Briarcliff Development. SPECIAL WORKSHOP Mayor Rose called the Special Workshop to order at 6:01 p.m. Finance Director Resz gave overview of agenda for the evening and reviewed the Capital Projects Budget projections for the year and the September 30, 2011 numbers. Power Point was used and it was explained that Riverside seems to be right on target at this point. Nathaniel Hagedorn and Brent Miles used a power point presentation to show the Horizons Development 2011-2012 Operating Budget and current projections. Matt Eblen explained projects SKW are involved in and their work flow. Darren Hennen reported on Olsson & Associates projects. Sabin Yanez updated the Board on the projects that Cook, Flatt & Strobel ace completing. Community Development Director Duffy and Capital Projects Engineer Hoover added discussion regarding trails. A Capital Projects Flow Diagram was shared with the Board by the engineers and discussed. Mayor Rose reminded all present of the Trunk or Treat tomorrow evening in the City parking lot. 1 Alderman Super inquired if the missing pipe had been found. Hoover responded that there were no leads at this time. MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Fuller moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:09 p.m. second by Alderman Hurt. Yes: Fuller, Hurt, Cope, Bruns, and Super.
