R-2012-018 A RESOLUTION AUTHORZING, APPROVING AND RATIFYING CHANGE ORDER 2 TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE AND MUSSELMAN 8� HALL CONTRACTORS FOR MATTOX ROAD QUIET ZONE PROJECT AND ZEKE ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS RESULTING IN A REVISED CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $235,202.55, ACCEPTING THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS CONSTRUCTED UNDER SUCH CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR WHEREAS, the City issued an Invitation to Bid for the Mattox Road Quiet Zone and the Zeke Road Intersection Improvements within the City which was awarded to Musselman & Hall Contractors, pursuant to Resolution R-2010-076; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it in the best interest of the City to authorize, approve and ratify Change Order 2 to the agreement in the amount of -$26,391.60, resulting in a total revised contract amount not to exceed $235,202.55 and to further authorize acceptance of the project and final payment to the contractor; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: THAT Change Order 2 to the Agreement entered into by and between the City and Musselman & Hall Contractors, and incorporated herein by reference resulting in a revised contract amount not to exceed $235,202.55 is hereby authorized, ratified and approved; FURTHER THAT all work under such contract with Musselman & Hall Contractors is hereby accepted and approved and final payment under the contract is hereby authorized and approved; FURTHER THAT the City Administrator and all other required city officials are authorized to execute the change order authorized herein together with any and all documents necessary or incidental to the performance thereof and to take such other actions and/or execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents as may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution.
