R-2012-040 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM PLATTE COUNTY, MISSOURI IN CONNECTION WITH THE UPPER LINE CREEK TRAIL PROJECT NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: THAT the Board of Aldermen find it to be in the best interest of the City to approve and accept the Quit Claim Deed, in substantially the form attached hereto, from Platte County, Missouri; FURTHER THAT the City Clerk, or her designee, is hereby authorized and directed to file a fully executed copy of such Quit Claim Deed with the Recorder of Deeds in Platte County; FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, the City Attorney and other appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized. The County donated a Temporary Construction Easement to the City for the bridge project. The proposed Upper Line Creek Trail project will be placed on this tract to cross under the bridge, The County has agreed to transfer the deed to the City. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution and acceptance of the deed from Platte County for the construction of the Upper Line Creek Trail project.
