HomeMy WebLinkAbout1111 Certify 2012 Election BILL NO. 2012-017 ORDINANCE NO. � r �, AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE CERTIFICATION OF THE APRIL 3, 2012 ELECTION RESULTS RECEIVED FROM THE PLATTE COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTION COMMISSIONERS WHEREAS, an election was held within the City on April 3, 2012 for the purpose of electing one member of the Board of Aldermen from each Ward within the City; and WHEREAS, the City has received a Certificate of Election from the Platte County Board Election Commissioners declaring the results of the 2012 Riverside General Municipal Election; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it in the best interest of the City to accept and ratify such election results as presented; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: SECTI�N 1— DECLARATION AND RATIFICATION OF APRIL 3, 2012 ELECTION RESULTS That the Certificate of Election results received from the Platte County Board of Election Commissioners declaring the results of the 2012 Riverside General Municipa� Election are hereby received and ratified by the City of Riverside as follows: MAYOR Kathy Rose 246 Mike Fuller 66 ALDERMAN WARDI Ron Super 96 Write-ins 2 ALDERMAN WARD II Seth DeRose 74 Write-Ins 6 ALDERMAN WARD III Art Homer 96 Write-Ins 1 SECTION 2— REPEAL OF ORDINANCES 1N CONFLICT. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3— SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. The provisions of this ordinance are severable and if any provision hereof is declared invalid, unconstitutional or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance. SECTION 4— EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval. BILL NO. 2012-017 ORDINANCE NO.
