MEMORANDUM
August 29, 2oi2
TO: Mayor and Board Members
FROM: Gregory P. Mills
SUBJECT: Property Disposal
The current budget appropriates monies to replace a pool car within the Public SafeTy
fleet — a 2ooi Dodge Caravan. This vehicle has mileage approaching i3o,000 and is in
extremely poor mechanical condition. This vehicle is designated as surplus property
and in accordance with the Purchasing Policy I would like to sell this vehicle through
one of the local licensed auto auctions that specializes in these types of vehicles (old). I
do not value this vehicle above the $5,000 limit which would require the sale through
formal written bids.
