Boazd of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri
March ]4, 2006
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri, was held in the
City Hall, of Riverside, Missouri, on March 14, 2006 at 6:30 p.m.
Those in attendance were Mayor Pro Tem Ray Beazd and Aldermen Darata, Looker, Jones and
Super. Alderman Rochelle Legaazd and Mayor Burch were absent.
Also present were David Blackburn, City Administrator, Jane Henry, Administration Assistant,
Chief Gregory Mills, Brent Miles, Director of Planning and Economic Development, and John McClelland,
City Attorney.
Motion for Closed Session .Mayor Pro Tem Beard moved that the meeting go into closed session,
at 6:30 p.m. pursuant to RSMo 610.021(1) for discussion of legal
issues, RSMo 610.021 (2) discussion of real estate issues, RSMo
610.021 (3) discussion of persoanel issues, and RSMo 610.021 (17)
discussion of audit work product with the City Attorney; motion
seconded by Alderman Looker, and the vote was:
Yes: Aldermen Beard, Darata, Super, Looker, and Jones.
Motion cazried.
Motion for Open Session Mayor Pro Tem Beard moved that the meeting go into open session,
seconded by Alderman Super and the vote was:
Yes: Aldermen Jones, Beard, Super, Darata, and Looker.
Motion carried.
Call to Order Mayor Pro Tem Ray Beard called the open session to order at 7:30 p.m.
Roll Call Answering roll call were Aldermen Darata, Super, Jones, Beazd and
Looker.
Web Site Presentations The following companies presented their proposals for redesigning the
web site: Creative Minds, VRi, Breakthrough, and Lori Locke. The
boazd will discuss the proposals at their regularly scheduled meeting on
March 21.
Bill No. 2006-29
An ordinance authorizing the
City of Riverside to employ
Jeanette Chastain as the Court
Clerk for the City of Riverside,
Missouri
Alderman Super moved to place Bill No. 2006-29 on its Srst reading,
said bill authorizing the City of Riverside to employ Jeanette Chastain
as the Court Clerk for the City of Riverside, Missouri. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Darata, the vote was:
Yes: Aldermen Beard, Looker, Jones, Super, and Darata.
Motion carried.
Ordinance No. 2006-29 Alderman Looker moved to place Bill No. 2006-29 on its second
Approved reading, and upon passage of same become Ordinance No. 2006-29,
seconded by Alderman Jones, the vote was:
Yes: Aldermen Looker, Jones, Darata, Beard, and Super.
Motion carried.
Bill No. 2006-30 Alderman Darata moved to place Bill No. 2006-30 on its first reading,
An ordinance amending said Bill amending Title I, Government Code of the Municipal Code
Title I, Government Code, of the of the City of Riverside, Missouri. The motion was seconded by
Municipal Code of the City of Alderman Super, and the vote was:
Riverside, Missouri Yes: Aldermen Beard, Looker, Jones, Super and Darata.
Motion carried
Ordinance No. 2006-30 Alderman Jones moved to place Bill No. 2006-30 on its second
Approved reading, and upon passage of same become Ordinance No. 2006-30.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Darata and the vote was:
Yes: Aldermen Super, Looker, Jones, Darata, and Beard.
Motion carried.
Bill No. 2006-31 Alderman Looker moved to place Bill No. 2006-31 on its first reading,
An ordinance approving the form said bill approving the form of, and authorizing the City to complete
of and authorizing the City to and execute an agreement by and between the City of Riverside,
complete and execute anagree- Missouri and Dillon & Witt, Inc., for appraisal services. Alderman
went by and between the City of Jones seconded and the vote was:
Riverside, Missouri and Dillon & Yes: Aldermen Darata, Jones, Super, Beard and Looker.
Witt, Inc., for appraisal services
Motion carried.
Ordinance No. 2006-31 Alderman Super moved to place Bill No. 200631 on its second
Approved reading and upon passage of same become Ordinance No. 2006-31.
Alderman Darata seconded and the vote was:
Yes: Aldermen Beard, Jones, Super, Looker, and Darata.
Motion carried
Adjournment By general consent, the meeting adjourned at 8:48 p.m.
