R-2012-145 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING, APPROVING AND RATIFYING CHANGE ORDERS 1 AND 2 TO THE AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE AND V.F. ANDERSON BUILDERS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE MATTOX ROAD PROJECT RESULTING IN A REVISED CONTRACT AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,362,420 WHEREAS, the City issued an Invitation to Bid for the Mattox Road Project which was awarded to V.F. Anderson Builders pursuant to Resolution R-2012-066, and WHEREAS, Change Order 1 to said contract INCREASES the total contract amount by $83,811.00 and Change Order 2 provides for a credit and REDUCES the total contract by an amount of $28,216.00, resulting in a NET INCREASE of $55,595.00; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it in the best interest of the City to formally authorize, approve and ratify Change Orders 1 and 2 to the agreement with V.F. Anderson Builders, resulting in a total revised contract amount not to exceed $1,362,420.00; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: THAT Change Orders 1 and 2 to the Agreement entered into by and between the City and V.F. Anderson Builders and incorporated herein by reference resulting in a revised contract amount not to exceed $1,362,420.00 are hereby authorized, ratified and approved. FURTHER THAT the Mayor, City Administrator and all other required city officials are authorized to execute the change order authorized herein together with any and all documents necessary or incidental to the performance thereof and to take such other actions and/or execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other documents as may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Ordinance. The change to DIP for Phase II was approved by a motion but never adopted as an ordinance.
