SPECIAL WORKSHOP
BOARD OF ALDERMEN
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
Tuesday, November 13, 2012
6:00 p.m.
The Board of Aldermen for the City of Riverside, Missouri, met in special session in the Board
of Aldermen Chambers at City Hall, 2950 NW Vivion Road, Riverside, Missouri, on Tuesday,
November 13, 2012.
Mayor Rose called the special meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Those in attendance were Mayor
Kathy Rose, Aldermen Mike Fuller, Brad Cope, Art Homer, Seth DeRose and Ron Super.
Alderman Aaron Thatcher was absent.
Also present were Interim City Administrator Greg Mills, City Attorney Nancy Thompson, City
Clerk Robin Littrell, City Engineer Travis Hoover, Community Relations Director Meredith
Hauck, Public Works Director Tom Wooddell, Captain Chris Skinrood, and Finance Director
Donna Resz. Shawn Moore and Jon Binder with OMNI were also in attendance.
H R WORKSHOP Community Relations Director Meredith Hauck introduced
OMNI representatives Shawn Moore and Jon Binder. Jon
first reviewed the salary survey results which indicated that
seven positions need proposed adjustments. He then
addressed the salary banding recommendations that will reduce
the 13 different ranges to 8 salary ranges and he explained that
there are four positions that are considered to be "red circled
positions". Interim City Administrator Greg Mills then introduced
the four new positions being proposed, which include: Capital
Projects Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, Planner, and
Assistant Public Works Director. Mills also explained that one
part-time position would become a full-time position and that
staff recommends three title changes for current employees.
Finance Director ponna Resz reviewed the overall budget
impact. The Board was given opportunity to ask questions and
Mayor Rose asked that they take the information home to
review. She also stated that these requests will be discussed
at several meetings before decisions are probably made.
MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Super moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:29 p.m.,
second by Alderman DeRose.
