Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri

A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri, was held in the
City Hall, of Riverside, Missouri, on March 28, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
Mayor Pro Tem Ray Beard called the meeting to order. Those in attendance were Mayor Pro Tem
Beazd and Aldermen Darata, Looker, Jones, Super and Legaard. Mayor Burch was absent.
Also present were David Blackburn, City Administrator, Jane Henry, Administration Assistant,
Chief Gregory Mills, Brent Miles, Director of Planning and Economic Development, John Jackson and
John McClelland, City Attorney.
Bill No. 2006-37 Alderman Looker moved to place Bill No. 2006-37 on its first reading,
An ordinance amending section said bill amending section 705.010 of the Municipal Code regarding
705.010 of the Municipal Code Utility Gross Receipts Tax on telephone service. The motion was
regazding Utility Gross Receipts seconded by Alderman Legaard, and the vote was:
Tax on telephone service Yes: Aldermen Jones, Super, Darata, Legaazd, Beard, and Looker.
Motion carried.
Ordinance No. 2006-37 Alderman Jones moved to place Bill No. 2006-37 on its second
Approved reading, and upon passage of same become Ordinance No. 2006-37,
seconded by Alderman Super, the vote was:
Yes: Aldermen Looker, Jones, Darata, Beard, Legaazd and Super.
Motion carried.
Bill No. 2006-38 Alderman Super moved to place Bill No. 2006-38 on its first reading,
An ordinance confirming the said Bill amending confirming the appointment of Thomas C. Fincham

Ordinance No. 2006-38 Alderman Looker moved to place Bill No. 2006-38 on its second

The. motion was seconded by Alderman Legaard and the vote was:
Yes: Aldermen Super, Legaazd, Looker, Jones, Darata, and Beard.
Motion carried.
Bill No. 2006-39 Alderman Looker moved to place Bill No. 2006-39 on its first reading,
An ordinance authorizing the said bill authorizing the City of Riverside, Missouri to employ Donna

Ordinance No. 2006-39 Alderman Jones moved to place Bill No. 2006-39 on its second

Yes: Aldermen Darata, Jones, Legaazd, Super, Looker, and Beard.

City Engineer Request City Engineer John Jackson asked the aldermen to consider making a

Alderman Legaard moved that the meeting go into closed session,
pursuant to RSMo 610.021(1) for discussion of legal issues, RSMo
610.021 (2) discussion of real estate issues, RSMo 610.021 (3) issues
with the City Attorney; motion was seconded by Alderman Darata, and
the vote was:
Yes: Aldermen Beazd, Darata, Super, Looker, and Jones.
