ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN
TO ADOPT NEW SALARY BANDS FOR THE PAY STRUCTURE TOGETHER WITH THE
ASSIGNMENT AND RECLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN POSITIONS TO SUCH SALARY
BANDS
WHEREAS, the Classification and Pay Plan adopted by the City provides for the
amendment of pay grade within the Salary Structure from time to time as deemed necessary to
accommodate all job classes and positions within the organization; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it is in the best interest of the City to amend the
Classification and Pay Plan by adopting new pay grades and assigning positions into such pay
grades as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 - APPROVAL OF PAY RANGES. The pay grades set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference are hereby approved and adopted as a part
of the Classification and Pay Plan of the City of Riverside and the positions identified therein are
hereby reclassified into such pay grades.
SECTION 2 - REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT. All ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 - SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. The provisions of this ordinance are severable and
if any provision hereof is declared invalid, unconstitutional or unenforceable, such determination shall
not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance.
SECTION 4 - EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of
December 19, 2012.
BE IT REMEMBERED that the above was read two times by heading only, passed and
approved by a majority of the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of the City of
Riverside, Missouri, this$- day of January, 2013.
