HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-02-20a Park Board MinutesMINUTES OF THE RIVERSIDE PARK BOARD February 20, 1999 President LeeAnn Zimmerman called the meeting to order. Others attending were Lori Krause, Wayne Snyder, Bill Bright, Pam Darata, Ann Daniels and Betty Burch. Bucher Willis Ratliff sent Richard Yates and his colleague to speak with the Board. Homestead Park's merry-go-round cannot be insured. A deteriorated sanddigger was removed also. Cost estimate for replacement is $1,100. Lori recommended adding two more pieces of equipment and will report costs at the March meeting. Ann Daniels stated that bids are needed for tress and greenery at the park. ATa-4cO .~, the playground equipment company, needs to be more specific about what contract contains as to grading, resurfacing and other issues. The job description for a Park Director was discussed. Ann assured the Board that ADA requirement would be included. Bill Bright moved to approve the description with alterations. Wayne Snyder seconded the the motion passed. Betty Burch reminded us that the description would have to be approved by the Board of Alderman. Ann is to present a "bare bones" structure for the Park Department within 30 days. Richard Yates from Bucher Willis presented plans for the Bell Tower. Plan A was approved at a cost of $1 0,000. y.~~~EL' The meeting adjourned until the March meeting of 13th. A meeting on March 20th will also be held to allow more time for other business.
