MINUTES
September 3, 2008
6:00 p.m.
The Riverside Park Board held their regularly scheduled meeting at Renner Brenner Park, 2901 NW Vivion Road,
Riverside Missouri 64150, on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Those in attendance were: Julie Rule, Cathy Mou:~el,
Deborah Leader and Sarah Wagner, Administrative Clerk. Members absent were Norma Parrot, Ron Carlson, Jim Frakes,
Mayor Kathy Rose, Alderman Mike Fuller, Lori Rardeen and Jeff Rupp, Director of Public Works.
Approval of Cathy Mousel Moved to approve the minutes of August 6, 2008.

Renner Julie Rule explained that the City had received a letter from Gary Brenner expressing some
Brenner Park concern about relocating some of the elements of Renner Brenner Park because a portion of ir.
Equipment still has undisturbed artifacts in it. The Park Board decided to wait on any decision for
relocation of the park facilities until after they meet with Gary Brenner.
Welcome A copy of the estimate for the holiday decorations for the Welcome Plaza was distributed to
Plaza Holiday members. The estimate is attached to the minutes. The board decided to go with the 5,8 and
Decorations 11 inch red metallic ornaments and warm white lights. They also agreed to wait on the holid~~y
banners for the light poles.
General Rule said that the Liner Trail is cracking bad and wad concerned about safety. She also

Leader suggested that something be put in the Newsletter or on the City's web site so that
people could see and understand the overall plan for the trail system.
Rule announced that September 30, 2008 Platte County Parks will be holding an open house
for Platte County's Master Plan that will showcase the park and trail systems.
Rule said that the Friends of Platte County Parks are having an even at English Landing Park:
in Parkville on September 13, 2008 from 12pm to 2pm and Riverside has been asked to setup
a both showcasing its parks and trails.
Wagner said that she would talk to staff and see what they could get together for the event.
Rule requested the results from the ECT Survey that pertain to the parks
