AUGUST 4, 1987
A regular meeting of the board of Alermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on
August 4, 1987, at 7:30 p.m. On a roll call, Aldermen Karr, Burch, Best,
Peeler and Wedua were present, Shepard absent; and Mayor Holmes called said
meeting to order.
It was decided to dispense with the reading of the minutes of July
21, 1987, for the present time.
Lee Hobbs, 4800 N. W. High Drive, presented an application for
business license for L & G Laundry, at 2904 N.W. Vivion Road. He said
someone would be at the place of business whenever it is open. Said
application was approved subject to the payment of the fee.
Gerald Witchner, 1617 N. E. 77th Terrace, Kansas City, Missouri,
presented a Special Permit, Application for Business License and Sign
Application for the selling of used vehicles at 2506 W. Platte Road. He
also presented a drawing of the area where he will park the cars for sale
and employee and customer parking. He requested permission for 33 spaces
for the sale of vehicles. After a discussion and Mr. Witchner understood
what minor repairs could be made at this area, such as whidshield wipers,
batteries. The Mayor and Board agreed tht he could have a permit for 30
~~ vehicles, exclusive of employees and customers and approved the Special
Permit on that basis and would review the matter the next time the license

business license ordinances for this type of business and it would need a
special use and the zoning changed accordingly. This matter was discussed
and the matter would have to be tabled for the present time.
The matter of .dust from VanDePopulier and Mattox Road was
discussed and will be looked into.
