Home My WebLink About1200 Certify 2013 ElectionBILL NO. 2013 -023 ORDINANCE NO. 1j,0O AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE CERTIFICATION OF THE APRIL 2, 2013 ELECTION RESULTS RECEIVED FROM THE PLATTE COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTION COMMISSIONERS WHEREAS, an election was held within the City on April 2, 2013 for the purpose of electing one member of the Board of Aldermen from each Ward within the City; and WHEREAS, the City has received a Certificate of Election from the Platte County Board Election Commissioners declaring the results of the 2013 Riverside General Municipal Election; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it in the best interest of the City to accept and ratify such election results as presented; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: RESULTS That the Certificate of Election results received from the Platte County Board of Election Commissioners declaring the results of the 2013 Riverside General Municipal Election are hereby received and ratified by the City of Riverside as follows: ALDERMAN WARD Mike Fuller 89 Cindy Ecton 38 Write -ins 0 ALDERMAN WARD II Aaron D. Thatcher 63 Nicholas Welliver 14 Write -Ins 0 ALDERMAN WARD III Brad Cope 43 Write -Ins 6 SECTION 2 — REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3 — SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. The provisions of this ordinance are severable and if any provision hereof is declared invalid, unconstitutional or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance. SECTION 4 — EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.
