HomeMy WebLinkAbout2013-05-04 Special Workshop MINUTES SPECIAL WORKSHOP BOARD OF ALDERMEN RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI Saturday, May 4, 2013 8:00 a.m. The Board of Aldermen for the City of Riverside, Missouri, met in special session in the Board of Aldermen Chambers at City Hall, 2950 NW Vivion Road, Riverside, Missouri, on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Mayor Rose called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m. Those in attendance were Mayor Kathy Rose, Aldermen Art Homer, Mike Fuller, Brad Cope, Seth DeRose, and Ron Super. Alderman Aaron Thatcher was absent. Also present were City Administrator Greg Mills, City Clerk Robin Littrell, Finance Director Donna Resz, Community Development Director Mike Duffy, Public Works Director Tom Wooddell, and Administration Director Meredith Hauck. WORKSHOP @ 8:03 A.M. City Administrator Greg Mills explained that we will review outside major contracts that each department deals with throughout each year with the exception of engineering contracts that are regularly discussed. Supporting documents were given to the Mayor and Board along with a few PowerPoint graphs. City Administrator Mills began with review of the Public Safety contracts. There was a lengthy discussion regarding the ambulance district and ambulance contracts, along with other various Public Safety contracts. Administration Director Meredith Hauck began with Administration contracts and City Clerk Robin Littrell added information for a few of these contracts. Hauck then discussed the Recreation contracts. Public Works Director Tom Wooddell reviewed the contracts for his department. Finance Director Donna Resz gave review of Finance Dept. contracts. Community Service contracts were reviewed and discussed with the Board. The future strategic planning meetings will be June 29 August 24 October 19 and December 14` The board also briefly discussed Google fiber, Beverly Lumber, Northwood Road house for sale and Quik Trip progress.
