HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-07-08~,•- 4 ~ MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF ALDERMEN ~ OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI JULY 8, 1986 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City. of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside,. Missouri on July 8, 1986, at 7:30 p.m. The roll was called and Karr, Gordy, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner were present, Best absent and Mayor Holmes called said meeting to order. The Minutes of June 24, 1986, were read and approved. The Minutes of July 1, 1986,, were read and approved as cor- rected. The 1986-87 proposed budget was discussed and changes were made wherever necessary. Karr moved that a recess be called, seconded by Gordy, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Karr, Gordy, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner voted aye; Best absent. Meeting reconvened on July 9, 1986, at 5:00 p.m. On a roll call, Aldermen Karr, Gordy, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner were present, Best absent; and Mayor Holmes presiding over remainder of meeting. ~`" The following bids were received on $400,000: Riverside, Bank - $200,000 for 6 months 5.65% interest for 1 year - 5.8% interest. Norbank of North Kansas City - $400,000 for 182 days - 6.45% interest. Boatmen's First National Karr moved that we same being the bid of Norban that this be Bill No, 86-32, and-votes were as -follows: voted aye; Best absent; said - $400,000 for 90 days 6.20% interest for 6 mos. 6.25% interest. accept the best bid on the '$400,000, k for 182 'days at 6.45% `interest;' and, seconded by Brenner; the roll was called Karz, Gordy, Peeler, Wedua .and. Brenner bill was accordingly read.. Brenner moved .that Bill No. 8b-32 be placed on its second :reading, seconded by Karr, the roll was- called and votes were as follows: Karr, .Gordy.,. Peeler., Wedua and Brenner voted aye; Best absent;`said bllwas accordingly read.. Karr•moved that Bi11 No. 86-~2 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ordinance N0. 86=32, seconded by Brenner, the-roll was called and votes were as follows: Karr, Gordy, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner voted aye; Best absent; said bill was `-' accordingly read, attached hereto and made a part hereof, approved by Mayor. Meeting Page 2, July 9, 1986 Karr moved that the Finance Committee secure bids on $500,000 and that same be Bi11 No. 86-33, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Karr, Gordy, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner voted aye.; Best absent; said bill was accordingly read. Brenner moved that Bill No. 86-33, be placed on its second reading, seconded by Karr, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Karr, Gordy, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner voted aye; Best absent; said bill was accordingly read. Brenner moved that Bill NU. 86-33 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become ordinance NO. 86-33, seconded by Karr, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Karr, Gordy, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner voted aye; said bill was accordingly read, attached hereto and made a part hereof, approved by Mayor Holmes and became Ordinance NO. 86-33. There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion duly made, seconded and passed, meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m. ~~ ~c.....,.4c r
