Archer, spoke to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen concerning their findings on where the water tower would probably serve the City the best. There were three areas, two on High Drive and one. just east and north of the Woodbridge Foam Company's building site. These places were discussed and City Attorney Don Witt is to write the owners of the property con- cerning this matter. Alderman Best is excused from this portion of meeting. Some of the suggestions given to Dan Peak from the Mayor and Board for him to do in preparation of the Woodbridge Foam Com- pany building were: Contact the City Engineer about the drainage; the grade has to be approved; the sub-division to be approved; and approval of the sewer. The Mayor and Board believed they had given Macy Elder enough time to either repair or demolish her building on N.W. Gateway and Don Witt is to proceed with the necessary papers to have the ~"~ building torn down. ing. Bids are to be received for a new roof on the City Hall Build- City Clerk Betty Burch said that Sham Shorn Hunt would like to come to the Board of Aldermen meeting on 18th of November to talk concerning ;Missouri Cooperatve_Extension sereice. - There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion duly made, seconded and passed, meeting adjourned at 10:53 p.m. (~ -----J--~-__ _ ~ __ ___ _ . _ _ ,.. ~_ _ _--- ~ ~ ,- --, '~~ MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI NOVEMBER 4, 1986 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on November 4, 1986, at 7:30 p.m. On a roll call, Aldermen Karr, Gordy, Best, Peeler and Wedua were present, Brenner absent. Said meeting was called to order by Mayor Holmes. The minutes of September 16, 1986, were read and approved. The minutes of October 7, 1986, were read and approved as corrected. It was decided to dispense with the reading of the minutes of October 21, 1986, for the present time. Mr. Ron Montieth, 14919 W. 90th Terr. Lenexa, Ks. presented an appliction for a sign for Coleman Industrial Construction, Inc. 4030 VanDePopulier Road and also a Grading Application was present- ed. The material to be used as the fill would be of demolition material and it would appear that this type of material would not be allowed in accordance with the ordinance. The Application for r", sign was approved subject to the payment of the fee. The Grading !, and Fill Application would be taken under adivsement. Mr. George Pickering, 2205 Lister, Kansas City, Missouri presented a Business License Application for Cut Rate Tranmission and Auto Repairs, 3403A N.W. Vivion Road. Two Sign Applications were also presented. The Business License Application was approved subject to the payment of the fee and the two sign appli- cations were approved, subject to the payment of the fee. Mr.Robert Watts, 7727 E. 55th Street, Kansas City, MO 64129, presented business. license for Classique Upholstery, 4710 N.W. Gateway. This would for the upholstering of furniture and auto seats. This was approved subject to obtaining a sales tax number and the payment of the fee for the business license. Mr. Donald Milne, 6611 W. 87th Street, Overland Park, Kansas presented an application for a sign for Knapp Co. 4304 Mattox Road. This was approved subject to the payment of the fee. (He was fined $200.00 for installing the sign without a permit). Mr. Frank W. Bowler, 777 South Shore Drive, Lake Waukomis inquired what he would hav~.-~o do to put in machines called "Odd Makers", this would not be _~'a gambling machine. He was told that the license woulu be for so many machines at any one place. Mr. Bowler said he was just in the first phase of this matter and -would come back at a later date should he decide to install such machines.
