A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT FOR TWO
2014 DODGE VEHICLES AND ONE 2014 FORD VEHICLE FROM 911 CUSTOM / WHELEN
ENGINEERING, INC OFF THE MISSOURI STATE CONTRACT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $25,000.00
WHEREAS, the Police Department has a need for the Police Package for emergency
equipment to equip three vehicles, two 2014 Dodge Chargers and one 2014 Ford Utility Interceptor
that were approved in the 2013 -2014 budget; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other govemmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, Missouri State Contract has competitively bid and awarded a contract to 911
Custom/ Whelen Engineering, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 budget;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of emergency equipment to equip the two 2014
Dodge Charger vehicles and one 2014 Ford Utility Interceptor vehicle, in an amount not to exceed
$25,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the purchase of emergency equipment to equip two 2014 Dodge Charger vehicles
and one 2014 Ford Utility Interceptor, from 911 Custom/ Whelen Engineering, Inc. in an amount not
to exceed $25,000.00 is hereby authorized, approved and ratified; and
FURTHER THAT the Police Chief and /or the City Administrator, or his designee, are hereby
authorized to execute all documents necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is
authorized to attest thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of
the City of Riverside, Missouri, the g Nn day of July, 2013.
