HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-10-10 Planning & Zoning Commission Minutes MINUTES PLANNING AND ZONINING COMMISSION RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI October 10, 2002 The Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Riverside, Missouri, met in regular session in the Board of Aldermen Room at City Hall, 2950 Northwest Vivion Road, Riverside, Missouri. Vice Chairman Houston called the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m. The following members answered roll call Jim Burch, Alderman George Flaws, Karen Gordy, Vice Chairman Cy Houston, Shawn Lee, Aaron Locke, Gale Perkins, Fire Commander Mike Shelton, Jim Smith and Ray Uhl. Absent were: Mayor Betty Burch and Chairman Barbara Snyder. Also present were Codes Enforcement Officer Dwight Flowers and City Consultant Mike Duffy. Change of Use Permit — EFI Sandy Tatman, Office Manager for EFI Wright Sales Inc., 4823 NW Wright Sales Inc., 4823 NW Gateway appeared before the Commission to request a Change of Use Gateway Permit for the space at 4823 NW Gateway. The previous use was a photography studio. The new use will be a company that represents lines in water distribution. They will only be using a portion of the building, with plans to lease the other part in the future. There are sufficient parking spaces, but they are not striped. Mr. Duffy suggested that if the space is leased in the future, striping of the lot should be considered at that time. The building is ADA compliant. EFI Wright Sales will not be using the building for storage of any large items. Motion to Approve Change of Mr. Lee moved that the Change of Use Permit be recommended for Use approval to the Board of Aldermen. Mr. Burch seconded. The motion carried by unanimous vote. General Discussion Alderman Flaws gave the Commission updates on some of the issues before the Aldermen. Mr. Flowers gave an update on some of the issues that have appeared before the Commission recently. Miss Perkins asked if the members' Code books were ready. They are not.
