R- 2013 -091 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF EIGHT NEW POLE LIGHTS FOR RENNER BRENNER PARK FROM A HOLOPHANE COMPANY DISTRIBUTOR IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $40,000.00 WHEREAS, the City of Riverside has a need for the acquisition of eight pole lights for the Renner Brenner Park; and WHEREAS, it is so desired that the eight pole lights needed are to match the existing pole lights at the City of Riverside Welcome Plaza, therefore requiring the acquisition to be from a distributor for the Holophane Company and will be bid as such; and WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $40,000.00 for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 budget; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it is in the best interest of the City of Riverside to approve the purchase of eight pole lights from a Holophane Company distributor for the Renner Brenner Park in an amount not to exceed $40,000.00; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: THAT the purchase of eight pole lights for Renner Brenner Park from a Holophane Company distributor in an amount not to exceed $40,000.00 is hereby approved; and FURTHER THAT the City Administrator is hereby authorized to execute all agreements or documents necessary to approve the purchase of goods and services contemplated herein and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto. The new pole lights will be purchased through a Holophane Company Distributor. They will match the style and color of the existing pole lights at Welcome Plaza. The estimated purchase cost of the new pole lights are $32,608.50. Public Works will take the old pole lights down and install the new pole lights. This will result in an estimated savings of $10,000.00 - $12,000.00. BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2013 -2014 fiscal budget included $40,000.00 to purchase the new pole lights.
