A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO
TRUCK FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM ROBERTS CHEVROLET OFF THE MID
AMERICA COUNCIL FOR PUBLIC PURCHASING CONTRACT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $31,230.00
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has a need for acquisition of a vehicle to replace the older
Fire Marshal vehicle used daily; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, Mid America Council for Public Purchasing (MACPP) has competitively bid and
awarded a contract to Roberts Chevrolet Buick, Platte City, Missouri; and
WHEREAS, funds for such purpose are budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 budget; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD truck from
Roberts Chevrolet Buick, in an amount not to exceed $31,230.00;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the purchase of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD truck, from Roberts Chevrolet
Buick, in an amount not to exceed $31,230.00 is hereby authorized and approved; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor and/or the City Administrator, or his designee, are hereby
authorized to execute all documents necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is
authorized to attest thereto.

BACKGROUND:
In the 2014/ 15 budget for the Fire Department the Board of Alderman approved
the replacement of the Fire Marshals Durango. The Fire Department will be purchasing
a new Chevrolet Silverado 250o HD pickup with equipment. The vehicle will be
purchased through Robert's Chevrolet using the MARC contract. The emergency
equipment will be purchased through 911 Custom using the MARC contract.
BUDGETARYIMPACT:
Total cost of this purchase is $45,000 (vehicle= $31,23o and equipment
installation= $13,750).
