A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE POLICE
VEHICLES FROM ROBERTS CHEVROLET OFF THE MID AMERICA COUNCIL FOR PUBLIC
PURCHASING CONTRACT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $67,766.00
WHEREAS, the Police Department has a need for acquisition of two vehicles to replace two
older Police vehicles used daily; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, Mid America Council for Public Purchasing (MACPP) has competitively bid and
awarded a contract to Roberts Chevrolet Buick, Platte City, Missouri; and
WHEREAS, funds for such purpose are budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 budget; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of two 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe vehicles from
Roberts Chevrolet Buick, in an amount not to exceed $67,766.00;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the purchase of two 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe vehicles, from Roberts Chevrolet Buick, in
an amount not to exceed $67,766.00 is hereby authorized and approved; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor and/or the City Administrator, or his designee, are hereby
authorized to execute all documents necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is
authorized to attest thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of
the City of Riverside, Missouri, the day of July, 2014.

BACKGROUND: The purchase of two Chevrolet Tahoe Police vehicles with
equipment that was approved in the 2014-2015 budget. The vehicle will be
purchased through Robert's Chevrolet using the MARC contract. The emergency
equipment will be purchased through Whelen Engineering based on the Missouri
State Contract.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: Total cost of this purchase is $90,00 (vehicle= $67,766 and
equipmentinstallation= $22,234).
