A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2015 DIAMOND INTERNATIONAL 7400
TRUCK FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OFF THE MID AMERICA REGIONAL
COUNCIL COOPERATIVE BID IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $80,000.00
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for the acquisition of a 2015
International 7400 Truck; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, the Mid America Regional Council (MARC) has competitively bid and awarded
a contract to Diamond International in Kansas City, Missouri for the purchase of such equipment;
and
WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 budget;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of one 2015 International 7400 Truck cab and
chassis off the MARC Equipment Bid List in an amount not to exceed $80,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the purchase of one 2015 International 7400 Truck cab and chassis off the MARC
Equipment Bid List in an amount not to exceed $80,000.00 is hereby authorized, approved and
ratified; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, or her designee, is hereby authorized to execute all documents
necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTEDb the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of
the City of Riverside, Missouri, they_day of July, 2014.

RE: Purchase approval of 2015 Diamond International 7400 Truck Cab &
Chassis
BACKGROUND: Funding to purchase a new 2015 Diamond International cab and chassis was
included in the 2014-2015 budget. The truck cab & chassis will be purchased from Diamond
International Kansas City, MO. which is a MARC fleet bid dealer.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2014-2015 fiscal budget included $80,000.00 for the purchase
price of the dump truck and equipment. The total cost of the truck cab and chassis is $80,000.00
