A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO 2015 JOHN DEERE ZERO TURN
MOWERS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OFF THE MID AMERICA REGIONAL
COUNCIL COOPERATIVE BID IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $18,000.00
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for the acquisition of two 2015 John
Deere Z930M zero turn mowers; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, the Mid America Regional Council (MARC) has competitively bid and awarded
a contract to Ag-Power, Inc., a John Deere Co., located in Richmond, Missouri for the purchase of
such equipment; and
WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 budget;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of two 2015 John Deere Z930M zero turn mowers
off the MARC Equipment Bid List in an amount not to exceed $18,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the purchase of two 2015 John Deere Z930M zero turn mowers off the MARC
Equipment Bid List in an amount not to exceed $18,000.00 is hereby authorized, approved and
ratified; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, or her designee, is hereby authorized to execute all documents
necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of
the City of Riverside, Missouri, the Zqi- day of July, 2014.

RE: Purchase approval of two 2015 John Deere mowers
BACKGROUND: Funding to purchase two John Deere Z930M commercial zero turn mowers was
included in the 2014-2015 budget. The mowers will be purchased from Ag-Power, Inc., a John Deere
Co., which is a Mid American Regional — Kansas City Regional Purchasing Cooperative bid dealer.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2014-2015 fiscal budget included $18,000.00 for the purchase
of the John Deere mowers. The total cost of the two mowers is $18,000.00.
