A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF TYLER TECHNOLOGIES TO
PURCHASE THE MOBILE CAD INTERFACE UPGRADE FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
RECORDS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS
IN THE AMOUNT OF $21,000.00 FOR SUCH PURPOSES AND ALSO AUTHORIZING THE
CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO AN ANNUAL SERVICE AGREEMENT FOR
RECURRING MAINTENANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,626.00
WHEREAS, the City also requested a proposal from Tyler Technologies for Mobile CAD
interface with the police department records management system; and
WHEREAS, the proposal and the software system proposed by Tyler Technologies
$21,000 for the Mobile CAD Software and the recurring annual maintenance fee of$4,626 has
been evaluated and recommended as the most advantageous proposal for use by the City; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find it is in the best interest of the City to purchase such
software and provide for annual maintenance;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the proposal of Tyler Technologies for Mobile CAD Interface Upgrade Software in
the amount of$21,000 and the recurring annual fee of$4,626 is hereby accepted and
approved; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor and/or City Administrator is hereby authorized to execute
all documents and agreements necessary or incidental to carry out the terms and conditions of
such award and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto.

BACKGROUND: This request is for the purchase of the Tyler Technologies Mobile
CAD interface upgrade for our police department records management system.
This software will now allow dispatch information to be mirrored in the vehicle on
the in-car computers. This software also includes mapping and Automatic Vehicle
Locator (AVL). This will allow the dispatcher to see where the patrol cars are in
the event an officer has an emergency or for dispatching calls in a more efficient
manner.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: This request was approved in the 2014-2015 budget. Total
cost of this purchase is $21,000 with a recurring annual fee of $4,626 for
maintenance.
