AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
FOR VEHICLE TOWING AND STORAGE WITH GLAD RENTS, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside, Missouri ("City") has engaged in negotiations with
Glad Rents, Inc. ("Glad") for provision of vehicle towing and storage services (the "Services");
and
WHEREAS, the City and Glad have reached an agreement concerning the provision of
and payment for such Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri, as follows:
Section 1. This Ordinance is intended and is hereby determined and declared to be
necessary to accomplish and serve the public purpose of removing damaged vehicles from public
roads, and assisting the Riverside Public Safety Department with storage of evidence.
Section 2. The City of Riverside shall enter into an agreement whereby Glad shall
provide the Services to the City at the costs set forth in the agreement (the "Agreement")
attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. The execution and delivery of the Agreement, in substantially the form
attached hereto as Exhibit A, is approved, and the Mayor is authorized to execute the Agreement
and to take such other actions reasonably necessary to cant' out the intent of this Ordinance on
behalf of the City, the execution of the Agreement being conclusive evidence of such approval.
Section 4. The Mayor, the City Administrator, the City Attorney and other
appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed
necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Ordinance and to execute
and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements and other
documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.

First Amendment to the Tow Service Agreement

is First Amendment to the Tow Service Agreement is made and entered this�day of
�_, 2014, between Glad Rents, Inc. ("Glad") and the City of Riverside, Missouri
("Riverside").
I. Glad and Riverside are parties to a tow service agreement ("Contract') dated June 5,
2009.
2. The original term of the lease was for five (5) years which expired on June 30, 2014.
3. The Contract allows for additional two (2) twenty-four month extensions by mutual
agreement of the parties.
4. Glad and Riverside desire to continue the agreement. Therefore, by mutual agreement,
the original Contract is extended for an additional twenty-four month term, effective as of
July 1, 2014.
5. Pursuant to RSMo 285.530(1), by its sworn affidavit in substantially the form attached
hereto, Glad hereby affirms its enrollment and participation in a federal work
authorization program with respect to the employees working in connection with the
contracted services. Furthermore, Glad affirms that it does not knowingly employ any
person who is an unauthorized alien in connection with the contracted services.
