M LNUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF
BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
NOVEMBER 26, 1985
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City
of Riverside, Missouri was held in the city Hall in Riverside,
Missouri on November 26, 1985, at 7:30 p.m. The roll was called
and Aldermen Karr, Gordy, BEst, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner were
present and Mayor Holmes called said meeting to order.
The minutes of November 5, 1985, were read and approved
as corrected.

Mayor Holmes suggested that the City terminate the
employment of Ed Noll as maintenance man for the City as of November
26, 1985.
Karr moved that the City terminate the employment of
Ed Noll as Street Department Employee as of November 26, 1985
~ and that same be Bill No. 85-54, seconded by Best, the roll was
called and votes were as follows: Karr, Gordy, Best, Peeler,
Wedua and Brenner voted aye; Gordy nay, said bill was accordingly
read.
Wedua moved that Bill No. 85-54 be ,placed on its second
reading, seconded by Karr, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: Karr, Best,Peeler, Wedua and Barenner voted aye;
Gordy Nay, said bill was accordingly read.
Best moved that Bill No. 85-54 be palced on its third
reading and upon .passage of same become Ordinance No. 85-54,
seconded by Wedua, ''the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Karr, Best, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner voted aye; Gordy nay; said
bill was accordingly, read, attached hereto and made a part hereof,
approved by Mayor Holmes and became Ordinance No. 85-54.
Karr moved that the City employ someone on a temporary
basis to do the snow plowing for the City until someone can be
employed ona permanent basis, seconded by Best, the roll was
called and votes were as follows: Karr, Gordy, Best, Peeler,
WEdua and Brenner voted aye.

With regard to Messrs. Bill Latta and John Brown's
discussion concerning the building of the levee in Riverside,
Mayor Holmes is checking to find information concerning
the water shed in Riverside and the master plan and drainage
requirements.
A discussion was had concerning the job descrip-
tion for the laborer-maintenance person. The person should
be able to do snow plowing and drive heavy equipment; drive
a tractor, do maintenance work in the City Hall, operate
a mowing machine and light mechanical work on the vehicles
and equipment.
The excess amount of cars in Martin Car Sales
lot was brought up.
The installation of four additional street lights
was brought up and an order will be placed.
Gary Brenner said he was asked by Mike Shelton
that all the men who are fire fighters be ~~equired to
take the "Class A Test" and pass it before they can fight
fires. In discussing this matter, it appears this Test
is the one used by most all Fire Departments in the State.
There being no further business to come before
~ the Board, upon motion made, seconded and duly passed,
the meeting adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
