A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2015 FORD F-550 TRUCK FOR THE
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OFF THE MID AMERICA REGIONAL COUNCIL
COOPERATIVE FLEET PRICING IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $40,572.00
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for the acquisition of a 2015 Ford F-
550Truck; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, the Mid America Regional Council (MARC) has competitively bid and awarded
a contract to Shawnee Mission Ford, Shawnee, Kansas for the purchase of such equipment; and
WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 budget;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of one 2015 Ford F-550 Truck cab and chassis off
the MARC Equipment Bid List pricing in an amount not to exceed $40,572.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the purchase of one 2015 Ford F-550 Truck cab and chassis off the MARC
Equipment Bid List from Shawnee Mission Ford, Shawnee, Kansas in an amount not to exceed
$40,572.00 is hereby authorized, approved and ratified; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, or her designee, is hereby authorized to execute all documents
necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of
the City of Riverside, Missouri, the_71L day of July, 2015.

RE: Purchase approval of 2015 Ford F-550 cab and chassis
BACKGROUND: Funding to purchase a new 2015 Ford F-550 and equipment was included in the
2015-2016 budget. The Ford F-550 cab and chassis will be purchased from Shawnee Mission Ford
which is the MARC fleet bid dealer for government fleet sales.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2015-2016 fiscal budget included $75,000.00 for the purchase
price of the Ford F-550 cab and chassis and equipment. The total cost of the Ford F-550 truck cab
and chassis is $40,572.00.
