A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT FOR THE
2015 FORD F-550 TRUCK FROM AMERICAN EQUIPMENT COMPANY OFF THE MID AMERICA
REGIONAL COUNCIL COOPERATIVE BID FOR FLEET EQUIPMENT CONTRACT IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $32,434.00
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for the accessory equipment to equip
the 2015 Ford F-550 Truck that was approved in the 2015-2016 budget; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, MARC Government Contract has competitively bid and awarded a contract to
American Equipment Company, Kansas City, Kansas; and
WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 budget;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of the accessory equipment to equip the 2015
Ford F-550 Truck, in an amount not to exceed $32,434.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the purchase of the accessory equipment to equip the 2015 Ford F-550 Truck from
American Equipment Company, Kansas City, Kansas in an amount not to exceed $32,434.00 is
hereby authorized, approved and ratified; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor or City Administrator, is hereby authorized to execute all
documents necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is authorized to attest
thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of
the City of Riverside, Missouri, the -4 day of July, 2015.

RE: Purchase approval of 2015 Ford F-550 Accessory Equipment
BACKGROUND: Funding to purchase new supporting accessory equipment (truck bed, material
spreader, central hydraulic system, hoist, and snow blade) for the 2015 Ford F-550 was included in
the 2015-2016 budget. The equipment will be purchased from American Equipment Co. which is a
MARC fleet equipment bid dealer for government fleets.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: The adopted 2015-2016 fiscal budget included $75,000.00 for the purchase
price of the accessory equipment and a Ford F-550. The total cost of the accessory equipment for the
Ford F-550 truck is $32,434.00
