HomeMy WebLinkAbout2013-09 Notice of Landowners Meeting ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Mike McGinness <mmcginness@mcginness-shaw.com> Date: Thu, Sep 26, 2013 at 11:05 AM Subject: Notice of Landowners Meeting To: Brent Miles <brent@northpointkc.com>, "Donald P. Coleman" <colemanheavyconst@yahoo.com>, donpcoleman@yahoo.com, Jeff Goodwin <jeffg@completehomeconcepts.com>, Richie Benninghoven <rcb@usckc.com>, Ron Super <rsuper@kc.rr.com> Board members, I am sending you the Notice of the Annual Landowner’s meeting which is scheduled for October 23, 2013, beginning at noon at the Levee District office. You will see that one member will be elected to the Board of Supervisors for a five year term. We have had some turnover on the Board during the last five years with respect to one seat on the Board. This year, Brent’s term expires even though he has been serving on the Board for one year. Ken Milsap was originally elected to serve a five year term beginning in 2008. When Ken resigned, the Board appointed Brad Babcock who served for approximately one year. Brad resigned and the Board appointed Brent to serve on the Board until the October 2013 Landowner’s meeting. The Notice of the Annual meeting is being published for two weeks as required by law. The Notice will also be mailed, together with other information about the status of the levee system, the Levee District Taxes and the requirements for approval for any work on or near the levee system. The mailings will go out at the end of next week. Please contact me if you have questions prior to the meeting. Thank you.
