Damage is very minor, but will require extensive repair. Kevin has missing pieces at shop. Problem is that rail plates were bedded in Portland cement (no, no and no!) should have been bedded in epoxy grout. (Reziweld) Remove rail plate and bad grout, Renee rail plate in epoxy, shim rail to new grade. Bad news is that the existing bolts are too short to allow much shimming. Will require drilling in new anchor bolts and re drilling plate to match. Set plate to new grade but be sure bolts are long enough to allow for future shimming. Every time BN levels the tracks, the rails will come up, never down. Notice in the undamaged photo that the grout is also falling apart. The gate rail is about an inch lower than the freight rail but there is only about 3/8" of anchor bolt left. The entire length of both gate rails should be re leveled and all new anchor bolts installed on re bedded plates with longer bolts. My estimate is about $20,000.
