Travis is seeking information to counter Shaw's claim that the problem with the pump was normal wear and tear. Kevin is assisting Travis by getting an opinion from Thompson. Prematurely worn out impellers are from pumping sand. Sheared bolts are from pumping rocks. RQBLD has no agreement with the contractor, just the city. It is the city's responsibility. The contractor is the city's problem, not ours. The city needs to stand good to RQBLD for the damage. In the future, we should stipulate that when the city takes advantage of our equipment, it is NOT TO BE LOANED to a 3rd party.
