R— 2016-039 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THREE 2016 JOHN DEERE ZERO TURN Z930M MOWERS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OFF THE MID AMERICA REGIONAL COUNCIL COOPERATIVE BID PRICING IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $23,850.00 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for the acquisition of three 2016 John Deere Z930M zero turn mowers; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities through the cooperative bidding process; and WHEREAS, the Mid America Regional Council (MARC) has competitively bid and awarded a contract to Heritage Tractor, Inc. a John Deere Co., located in Kearney, Missouri, Program UCNV0023 for Ag and Turf Equipment for the purchase of such equipment; and WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 budget; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of three 2016 John Deere Z930M zero turn mowers off the MARC Equipment Bid List in an amount not to exceed $23,850.00.
