R— 2016 — 043 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2017 DODGE RAM 1500 PICKUP TRUCK FROM LANDMARK DODGE OFF THE MID AMERICA COUNCIL FOR PUBLIC PURCHASING CONTRACT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $29,931.00 WHEREAS, the Fire Department has a need for acquisition of a vehicle to replace the older Fire Chief vehicle used daily; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities through the cooperative bidding process; and WHEREAS, Mid America Council for Public Purchasing (MACPP) has competitively bid and awarded a contract to Landmark Dodge, Independence, Missouri; and WHEREAS, funds for such purpose are budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 budget; and WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck from Landmark Dodge, in an amount not to exceed $29,931.00; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: THAT the purchase of a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck from Landmark Dodge, in an amount not to exceed $29,931.00 is hereby authorized and approved; and FURTHER THAT the Mayor and/or the City Administrator, or his designee, are hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto. City of Riverside Resolution Overview AGENDA DATE: 07-05-16 TO: Mayor and Board of Aldermen FROM: Gordon Fowlston, Fire Chief RE: Purchase approval of a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup Truck Agenda Date: July 5th, 2016 BACKGROUND: In the 2016 /17 budget for the Fire Department the Board of Alderman approved the addition of a new Fire Chiefs Ram pickup and equipment. The Fire Department will be purchasing a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 severe services pickup through Landmark Dodge using the MARC government contract. BUDGETARY IMPACT: The cost of this purchase is $29931.00 for the pickup.
