A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT FOR A 2017
DODGE RAM 1500 PICKUP TRUCK FROM 911 CUSTOM OFF THE MISSOURI STATE
CONTRACT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $22,671.00
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has a need for emergency equipment to equip the 2017
Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, that were approved in the 2016-2017 budget; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, Missouri State Contract has competitively bid and awarded a contract to 911
Custom, Overland Park, Kansas; and
WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 budget;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of emergency equipment to equip the 2017 Dodge
Ram pickup truck in an amount not to exceed $22,671.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the purchase of emergency equipment to equip the 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup
truck for the Fire Department from 911 Custom in an amount not to exceed $22,671.00 is hereby
authorized, approved and ratified; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor and/or the City Administrator, or his designee, are hereby
authorized to execute all documents necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is
authorized to attest thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of
the City of Riverside, Missouri, the Z day of July, 2016.

BACKGROUND:
In the 2016/17 budget for the Fire Department the Board of Alderman approved
the addition of a new Fire Chiefs Dodge Ram 1500 2017 and equipment. The Fire
Department will be purchasing the equipment through 911 Custom using the MARC
government contract.Additional Equipment will be purchased through normal city
purchasing channels.

Total cost of this equipment&installations $22,671.
