SUBJECT: Request to Donate Surplus Fire Equipment
Sir;
With the replacement of our Self Contain Breathing Apparatus we replaced our
equipment to fill the bottles. With doing so we now have a bottle containment filling
station that we can no longer use with our new equipment. We have small Fire
Departments who reach out to us for surplus equipment we may have to donate.
One of those was the Edgerton-Trimble Fire Protection District, Edgerton MO. They
presently are in need of a containment station to properly and safely fill their SCBA
bottles. Right now they use nothing, should a bottle fail during the filling process and
explode those around it will be severely injured.
We would like to have approval to donate ours to them so they may operate safely.
Respectively,
Gordon Fowlston

Subject:Scott fill station
Dear Chief Fowlston,
It was brought to my attention that you have a Scott's air pack filling station that you would be willing to
donate to our department. Currently we are using an outdated filling station that does not meet NFPA
compliance. We are an all-volunteer department that cannot obtain the funds to purchase one for use.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could donate this filling station so that the volunteers at Edgerton-
Trimble Fire Protection can properly and safely fill our air bottles. If you have any questions fill free to
contact myself or Fire Safety officer Reilly.
Si/cerely,
r
Chief Re rry Deckman
