Resolution Directing Staff Regarding the Processing of Tourism Sponsorship Applications Ms. Carlson noted that at the last meeting items were discussed that would help the applications move through the process more smoothly. The city attorney has prepared a resolution that would direct city staff to not bring incomplete or late tourism sponsorship applications before the Commission. Commissioner Rule stated she was in favor of the resolution. She noted it would be good to notify previous sponsorship recipients of the resolution, especially those that have submitted late and/or incomplete applications. Ms. Carlson will notify them when she sends out the MOU’s and will include the resolution as part of the application form. Commissioner Rule made a motion to approve the resolution as submitted. Commissioner Locke seconded the motion. All voted in favor. Motion passed. 2016 Tourism Sponsorship Application Status Ms. Carlson reported that she is currently keeping track of which sponsorship recipients have reserved the necessary City facilities. No checks will be issued until the facilities have been properly reserved. She hopes this will help alleviate some of the issues experienced in the past with recipients not submitting the necessary documents to the City in a timely manner. The Riverside Chamber is working on Riverfest. Specifically, Argosy Casino is utilizing their connections to secure the music headliner. New Riverside Executive Director Ms. Carlson reported that April Roberson has been hired as the new Riverside Chamber Executive Director and started today. Adjournment, 6:20p.m. The meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent.
