HomeMy WebLinkAbout2017-05-01 Special Meeting MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF ALDERMEN RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI Monday, May 1, 2017 5:30 p.m. The Board of Aldermen for the City of Riverside, Missouri, met in special session in the Board of Aldermen Chambers at City Hall, 2950 NW Vivion Road, Riverside, Missouri, on Monday, May 1, 2017. Mayor Rose called the special meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Those in attendance were Mayor Kathy Rose, Aldermen Ron Super, Art Homer, Sal LoPorto, Aaron Thatcher, Chet Pruett, and Al Bowman. Also present were City Administrator Greg Mills, City Clerk Robin Kincaid, Community Development Director Mike Duffy, and Finance Director Donna Oliver. Also present was City Attorney Paul Campo. MOTION TO ENTER INTO Alderman Homer moved that the meeting go into closed CLOSED @ 5:34 P.M. session pursuant to RSMo 610.021 (1) Legal Action and litigation, and RSMo 610.021 (3) Hiring, Firing, disciplining or promoting a particular employee, when personal information about the employee is discussed, second by Alderman Bowman. Yes: Homer, Bowman, LoPorto, Thatcher, Pruett, and Super. Motion carried 6-0. MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Bowman moved at 6:31 p.m. to adjourn closed CLOSED @ 6:31 P.M. session with no action taken, second by Alderman Pruett. Yes: Bowman, Pruett, Homer, LoPorto, Super, and Thatcher. Motion carried 6-0. Mayor Rose called the workshop session to order at 6:34 p.m. Those in attendance were Mayor Kathy Rose, Aldermen Ron Super, Art Homer, Sal LoPorto, Aaron Thatcher, Chet Pruett, and Al Bowman. Also present were City Administrator Greg Mills, Community Development Director Mike Duffy, Finance Director Donna Oliver, City Clerk Robin Kincaid, Public Works Director Tom Wooddell, Fire Chief Gordon Fowlston, Police Chief Chris Skinrood, and City Engineer Travis Hoover. Also present was City Attorney Paul Campo. WORKSHOP Finance Director Donna Oliver reviewed a PowerPoint presentation discussing the long range forecast for the city. Questions were asked by the Mayor and Board. MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Bowman moved to adjourn the workshop and WORKSHOP& RECONVENE reconvene closed session at 6:56 p.m., second by Alderman CLOSED AT 6:56 P.M. Homer. Yes: Bowman, Homer, Pruett, LoPorto, Super, and Thatcher. Motions carried 6-0. 1 MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Thatcher moved at 7:28 p.m. to adjourn closed CLOSED @ 7:28 P.M. session with no action taken, second by Alderman Super. Yes: Thatcher, Super, Pruett, LoPorto, Homer, and Bowman. Motion carried 6-0. MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Thatcher moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:28 p.m., second by Alderman Bowman.
