Dear Ms. Rusick:
EnGosed please find the signed copy of the agreement between the City of Riverside
and Northland Health Care Access. Also enclosed is a copy of our 2007 budget. Our
bookkeeping is done by our Executive Assistant with monthly and yearly reviews by the
Executive Director. Volunteer members of our board provide oversight through the
Finance Committee chaired by our Treasurer, a CPA, who reviews our accounting
reports on a monthly basis. An audit is completed each year by an outside CPA firm.
Northland Health Care Access greatly appreciates this funding from the City of
Riverside which helps us provide needed health care to citizens of your community who
are uninsured or underinsured through our initiatives. These include funding of the
primary care clinic at the Platte County Health Department, support of Children's Mercy
Northland who provides urgent and same day care to uninsured children, our prenatal
and delivery program with Heartland Women's Health Care, and our newest initiative,
Northland CARE/MetroCARE. Through this program eligible citizens are provided both
primary and specialty care within volunteer physicians own offices.
NHCA values our partnership with the City of Riverside and looks forward to working
together to realize our mission of ensuring timely access to health care services for the
underinsured residents of the Northland.
Sincerely, c ~
