HomeMy WebLinkAbout2017-10-31 Special Meeting MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF ALDERMEN RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI Tuesday, October 31, 2017 3:00 p.m. The Board of Aldermen for the City of Riverside, Missouri, met in special session in the Board of Aldermen Chambers at City Hall, 2950 NW Vivion Road, Riverside, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Mayor Rose called the regular meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. Those in attendance were Mayor Kathy Rose, Aldermen Ron Super, Art Homer, Chet Pruett, Sal LoPorto, Aaron Thatcher, and Al Bowman. Also present were City Administrator Greg Mills, City Clerk Robin Kincaid, City Planner Sarah Wagner, Finance Director Donna Oliver, Community Development Director Mike Duffy, and City Engineer Travis Hoover. Also present was Special Counsel Joe Bednar. MOTION TO ENTER INTO Alderman Homer moved that the meeting go into closed CLOSED @ 3:05 P.M. session pursuant to RSMo 610.021 (1) Legal Action and litigation, RSMo 610.021 (2) Leasing, Purchase or sale of real estate, and RSMo 610.021(12) Sealed bids and related documents, until the bids are opened; and sealed proposals and related documents or any documents related to a negotiated contract until a contract is executed, or all proposals are rejected, second by Alderman Thatcher. Yes: Homer, Thatcher, Pruett, LoPorto, Super, and Bowman. Motion carried 6-0. BREAK AT 3:52 P.M. Alderman Thatcher moved to take break at 3:52 p.m., second by Alderman Bowman. Yes: Thatcher, Bowman, LoPorto, Pruett, Super, and Homer. Motion carried 6-0. BACK TO CLOSED Alderman Thatcher moved to go back into closed session AT 4:00 P.M. at 4:00 p.m., second by Alderman Bowman. Yes: Thatcher, Bowman, Super, Homer, Pruett, and LoPorto. Motion carried 6-0. MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Bowman moved at 4:45 p.m. to adjourn closed CLOSED @ 4:45 P.M. session with no action taken, second by Alderman Super. Yes: Super, Bowman, LoPorto, Pruett, Thatcher, and Homer. Motion carried 6-0. 1 MOTION TO ADJOURN Alderman Homer moved to adjourn the meeting at 4:46 p.m., second by Alderman Thatcher.
